33% faster handling of leasing processes for banking clients
What was the project about?
We were hired for a project that would enable bank customers to start their car/IT equipment leasing application process directly in their banking app. The goal was to provide access to easy processing and authentication via the app, so that customers would not need to go through gateways or make any payments before the contract was duly processed. In addition, they would also be able to start their application process on partners’ websites and undergo authentication through the banking app.
We started by looking at business requirements and identifying the challenges of process integration with banking systems. Our main goal was to expand the offer available to the bank’s business customers and enable leasing application processing without the need for customer authentication through payment.

Who was our client?
Our client is one of the largest financial institutions in Poland. For more than 20 years, it has provided finance services (leasing or loan) to companies and enterprises all over the country. It offers financing options for, e.g. vehicles, IT equipment, machines, electronic devices and investment projects. Its clients include both SMEs and the largest companies active in the Polish market.
What were the key challenges of the project?
The target leasing solution had to meet several key business requirements:
- It had to allow customers to start the leasing process in the banking app;
- It had to enable two different communication models: in the bank and the leasing entity;
- It had to be easy to integrate with insurance systems;
- It had to confirm and verify user identity via the banking app without the need for any payment;
- It had to allow customers to sign their application using their QES (in the banking app) or digital signature (in the leasing company).
How did we address the problem?
We maximised the use of digital tools to create and develop the concept of the leasing application process. Some customer data are automatically uploaded to the application via the banking app. Application processing time was shortened by using the QES (the bank) or digital signatures (the leasing company) for identity verification. To aid this process, we employed the decision and workflow engine, Camunda BPM, along with our original Digital Leasing Platform.
The leasing platform that helped digitise the partner channel and allowed customers to start the process in their banking app contains the following features:
- A dedicated process for bank customers;
- Quick authentication via the banking app without the need for bank transfers;
- A re-use feature that retrieves data stored in the banking app to shorten the time needed to fill out the application form;
- A no-code tool to prepare and publish application forms;
- A quick product match feature adapted to existing processes;
- Easy integration with insurance systems.
