Reducing car finance application processing time by 32%
What was the project about?
The client approached us with a plan to standardise the sales process in their partner (vendor) channel so as to make it easier for vendors’ consultants, partners and dealers to collect data and calculate price quotes for customers wishing to secure a car finance option. The key objective was to enable the customer to complete the purchase at any place and time.
We started with user surveys so as to be able to design the right customer journey. Next, we created the solution architecture and proceeded with the development of business requirements. In the process, we focused on making sure the interface for the partners and employees of the leasing company would be fully configurable, which was an important aspect of the project. Our client was particularly interested in a special partner management module and wanted to be able to specify quote parameters as per partner and create sales reports for vendor networks.

Who was our client?
Our client is one of the largest financial institutions in Poland. For more than 20 years, it has provided finance services (leasing or loan) to companies and enterprises all over the country. It offers financing options for, e.g. vehicles, IT equipment, machines, devices and investment projects. Its clients include both SMEs and the largest companies active on the Polish market.
What were the key challenges of the project?
The target passenger car finance (leasing) solution had to meet several requirements:
- Easy financial product implementation;
- Quote parameters configurable as per partner;
- Easy addition of new partners;
- Easy to upgrade in the future.
How did we address the problem?
Trying to maximise the use of digital tools, we deployed a dedicated leasing platform along with a vendor support process. Our project was based on a low-code solution; it used the popular Camunda BPM platform (implemented together with our original Digital Leasing Platform) as the workflow engine for process creation and modelling.
Next, we created a dedicated application for vendors’ managers (in charge of departments) and consultants (employed in car dealerships), which enabled them to manage offers and sales networks and, most importantly, support an end2end leasing application process.
The client’s leasing platform now includes modules and features that allow them to:
- Prepare and publish forms with no need for coding;
- Quickly adapt products to existing processes;
- Generate and automatically fill out documents;
- Easily generate operational and management reports;
- Send data to data warehouses and analytics tools;
- Optimise processes on an ongoing basis (hot deployment).
