Amazon Web Services was the basis for the client platform from the beginning. The company began progressing rapidly, looking to reach hundreds of customers using its platform in real time. This led to the decision to review the original AWS service architecture and configuration to maximize systems performance while simultaneously controlling costs and portal security.

Who was our client?
Statscore is a modern data centre where any sports enthusiast can easily access data, widgets and minisites from over 100 sports. Statscore helps sports, media and betting organisations achieve their goals by making sports data available for sale, purchase and use in a variety of forms.
What were the biggest challenges of the project?
- High AWS bills;

- No ability to forecast future expenditure.
How did we address the challenge?
We reviewed and analysed the client’s AWS platform, including service architecture, configuration and security practices, performance optimisation, governance automation, and services related to optimisation and cost management.
On this basis, we prepared a complete analysis of the infrastructure costs and performance of the client’s AWS environment, along with recommendations for changes. We presented the results as a report and explained them in detail during a workshop with the Statscore team. We attached an action scenario to each recommended change, considering the client’s capabilities and business environment. We marked which changes could be implemented almost immediately and which required more work while supporting the client’s team in implementing some of the recommendations.
