Who have we helped?
Statscore is a sports data company providing statistics, data and live matches information to sports organizations, leagues, media outlets, broadcasters, and betting operators. Statscore provides sports data from more than a 100 sports, building the Biggest Sports Data Center in the world.
What was the project about?
Statscore grows rapidly due to growing demand of online sports industry. In the beginning they chose Amazon Web Services as a foundation for their platform. However, after fast-paced extension they have quickly reached hundreds of real-time platform users. Such a development initiated a review of the original architecture and configuration of the Amazon Web Services to maximize systems performance while keeping costs and security under tight control. The biggest challenge was high AWS bills Cost fluctuation that caused inability to forecast future spendings.

What have we done?
Altkom Software has prepared an AWS infrastructure cost analysis with recommendations for changes, broken down into quick wins to be implemented within first 2 weeks and changes that will become part of a long-term strategy. All findings and recommendations were provided in a summary report and clearly explained during the workshop. Each piece of advice was accompanied by proposed next steps taking into consideration Statscore’s organization and constraints.
What results did we get?
Reconstruction of the AWS cloud architecture. Altkom Software has prepared an AWS infrastructure cost analysis with recommendations for changes, broken down into quick wins to be implemented in 14 days and changes that are part of a long-term strategy.
What technologies have we used?
After implementing Altkom Software’s proposed changes we have managed to reduce our AWS spending by 39% within a month and 55% within six months. They delivered well-structured reports and presented action plans based on our constraints.
