Managing policies in Altkom Insurance Suite

In this video, we show how working with policy details looks in Altkom Insurance Suite — from finances and collections, through change history and coverage terms, to operational tasks. You will see how Policy Account, Operations, and Tasks create a unified view that lets you quickly verify key information, check the status of activities, and understand what is happening with a case at every stage of service.

A policy cannot be treated like an ordinary document moving through a system. It is a living object around which financial data, business decisions, changes to terms, and the day-to-day work of operational teams all come together.

From an insurer’s perspective, however, a policy often looks like a mosaic of information scattered across different screens, systems, and views. Before the user can make a decision, they first have to assemble the full picture from individual pieces.

That is why we designed policy management in Altkom Insurance Suite around one consistent view that is always close at hand.

Simply search for a policy to go to its details. This is where the center for managing information, processes, and communication is created. Three key sections — Policy Account, Operations, and Tasks — help teams handle processes efficiently, make sound decisions, and have a real impact on continuity of coverage.

Policy Account is the foundation of insurance coverage.

Here you will find a concise source of insight into the policy’s financial position: paid premiums, amounts due, balance, payer details, written premium, and overdue amounts. Everything is in one place, without switching between systems. For an employee, it provides fast access to the full picture. For the insurance company, it means greater control over the policy, risk, and continuity of coverage.

Having financial information in one place makes it possible to identify overdue amounts early and guide further service before the issue affects coverage for insureds. Policy Account supports this process: it shows the payment context, guides users through the next steps in collections, enables the registration of installment payments where permitted by regulations, and organizes communication with the party responsible for paying the premium.

As a result, you have full control over the policy’s situation — and can identify potential risks faster, including payment issues that may affect business liquidity.

Operations provide confidence that the policy is being serviced under the right terms.

In this section, you see the policy’s organized history: its status, version, current terms, and all activities and events registered in the system. You can quickly check which provisions applied at a given time, for a specific insured and product. This is especially important when you need to confirm eligibility for coverage, handle a claim, or review a complaint. In these situations, what matters is not only the current status, but also the full context of changes.

The system shows what was changed, when the change occurred, and what the previous policy content was. This allows decisions to be made based on facts, without manually reconstructing the history. For the insurance company, this means greater transparency, easier reporting, and better preparation for audits or regulatory reviews.

Operations create a reliable source of truth about the policy — organized, auditable, and ready for verification.

Tasks help keep the process under control — from submission to completion.

In this section, you see all activities being carried out on a policy or certificate. Each task has its own status, due date, process stage, and assigned owner. You can immediately see where the case stands, what has already been completed, and what still requires action.

The system also flags approaching deadlines, so cases do not get lost in the queue and the team can respond before a delay occurs. This supports day-to-day operational work — both for the people completing tasks and for those responsible for the pace of the entire process.

The Tasks tab provides a current view of work on policies and certificates. It shows which cases are moving according to plan, which require attention, and where bottlenecks are beginning to form — without manually monitoring every stage.

Policy Account, Operations, and Tasks show the policy from three perspectives: financial, formal, and process-related. Together, they create one view of the case — without switching between screens and without losing context.

In Altkom Insurance Suite, policy details become the center for process management. They help teams make decisions faster, control work more effectively, and deliver professional service to insureds.
